Looking Forward
Tshiebwe has an intense ability to crash the boards. Already one of the better rebounders in the country—would even say elite. Can do it on both sides. Has an NBA frame. Can bang with the best of them. He also has a soft touch around the basket, and can even hit some mid range shots. Not sure it that can extend. What is concerning is that he doesn’t project to be a good enough rim protector. He doesn’t show enough passing ability, or the ability to put the ball on the deck reliably. He doesn’t have quick enough feet to switch out onto wings or guards. He’ll have to be an undersized drop big. He’s pretty ground-bound, which also hurts his rim protecting prospects due to his height.
